Where your week is going, and how to get five hours of it back by Friday.
Based on a 45-minute recorded conversation with the owner on September 2, 2026. Every number below came from that conversation or from a live product page on the date shown.
About $4,500 a month, in time you told us is worth $125 an hour.
A note on the math. $125 an hour is the number you gave us. It holds if the hour goes back into estimates, callbacks, or selling. If it goes to your family or your sleep, that is real value too, but it is not reinvestable revenue, and we would rather you price it honestly than have us inflate it.
Calls go to voicemail during jobs and after 5 PM. Estimates take 40 minutes each and go out the next day. Nobody follows up on the ones that go quiet. Reviews get asked for when someone remembers.
Most of what we found returns your time first. Two of the five recommendations also put booked jobs back on the calendar that are leaving today.
- Answer every call and book it while you are on a job. Today: voicemail, then a callback that often never happens.
- Estimates in ten minutes, sent the same day from a template you fill on your phone.
- Follow-up on quiet estimates on a schedule instead of from memory.
Five Quick Wins. Two major projects. One fill-in.
"If I'm on a job it goes to voicemail. Half of them don't leave one. I call back at six and they've already booked somebody."
Your phone provider includes an automatic text to any missed call. The text says you are on a job and asks for the address and the problem. It buys you the callback, and it costs nothing. This is the single fastest change in the report.
"I write them up at the kitchen table at night. Forty minutes each. They go out the next day if I'm lucky."
You already pay for Jobber. Its estimate templates with line-item presets let you build the estimate in the driveway and send it before you leave. Same-day estimates close more often; you said so yourself.
"I promised somebody a Tuesday and I honestly don't remember which Tuesday."
Fathom records your video calls with suppliers and commercial customers and sends a summary with the commitments pulled out. Free plan is enough for your volume.
Recommendations 4 and 5 (automatic review request, Gmail rules) follow the same card format. Two paid tools total: $69 a month.
Do only this and you have half the value of the report.
Two jobs worth handing to an AI employee.
These are the high-impact, high-effort items on the matrix. They are not tools you install; they are roles that run inside your phone system, calendar, and Jobber, under limits you set, with a person you name answering the decisions that matter. We build and run them. This is what a managed engagement is.

We check in at one week and two weeks. If you want help with what comes after Quick Wins, the review call is where we scope it, and the $2,500 comes off the implementation.
